Paul Lawrie has claimed his first Sunshine Tour victory in the Dimension Data Pro-Am by a single shot, after his final round of 67 (-5) moved him to the top of the leader board.
Beginning the day a couple of shots adrift of the leaders, Lawrie made the turn in three-under par, thanks to back-to-back birdies at 4 & 5 and a two at the Par 3 eighth. Further birdies at the 10th & 18th holes - in a blemish free round - cemented the Cardinal Apparel Ambassador's win.
Playing along side his younger son Michael, team Lawrie tied for 4th spot in the Pro-Am element of the competition with a score of -30. Speaking afterwards about the week, Lawrie said "I'm obviously delighted. I haven't won in four years, so it's great to come here and win - especially playing with my son."

The 2012 Scottish Amateur Golfer of the Year, Jack helped Scotland reach the final of the European Men’s Team Championships in 2013. In the same year, he also won three times on the domestic circuit, en route to taking the Men’s Order of Merit title.
The former Boys International continued to impress in 2014 as part of Scotland’s successful European Nations Cup Team at Sotogrande and again with Europe, as he played his part in the winning Palmer Cup squad.
Team success continued into 2015 as he earned two-and-a-half points from three in GB&I’s record Walker Cup win. The Ayrshireman also reached the semi-finals of The Amateur Championship at Carnoustie that year.
Jack was ranked 38th on the World Amateur Golf Rankings immediately before turning Professional. The 22 year-old signed with International Sports Management in 2016 and will target the Alps Tour in 2016/17 as he makes his way in the Pro ranks.
He will join David Law, Ross Kellett & Paul Lawrie as a brand ambassador for Cardinal on 1st January 2017.

The European Challenge Tour Players, both attached to the Paul Lawrie Golf Centres, are the latest brand ambassadors for Cardinal. Cardinal Golf, the new clothing brand launched by former Open Champion Paul Lawrie, will be the Official Clothing Partner for the Paul Lawrie Match Play. The European Tour event, which sits on the Race To Dubai schedule, is now entering its second year and will be played at Archerfield Links from 4th - 7th August 2016.
